    German Twisted Cast On, knit using magic-loop.
    This is a great pattern for hats for homeless shelters. Due to the bulk of the yarn using either super-bulky or multiple strands of lighter weight yarn, it makes a thick & warm hat, which knits up very quickly!

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 6.50mm (US 10.5) 100cm
    • Circular 8.00mm (US 11) 100cm

    Measurements

    Notes: Yellow hat: using super-bulky wt yarn, on 8mm needles, I:
    CO 42 stitches, knitting the size Small.
    7 1/2” high x 7 1/2” wide
    Used 90 grams/51 yards of yarn.

    Green hat: holding 2 strands worsted together on 6.5mm needles, I:
    CO 48 stitches, knitting the 2nd smallest size.
    7 1/4” high x 7 1/8” wide
    Used 59 grams/115 yards of yarn.

    Marled tan/ivory hat: holding 1 strand worsted w/1 strand DK together on 6.5mm needles, I:
    CO 60 stitches making the Largest size
    7 1/4” high x 7 1/4” wide
