    The pattern was the inspiration but I used dk yarn and parts of this pattern also: andreialessatricos.blogspot.com
    I connected the circles together during the last round of crochet, no sewing them together.

      Also if you noticed on the blue and purple sweaters, they flare slightly at the bottom. I did that by increasing the crochet hook size every 2 or 3 rows of circles.
